SAGA LATEST ACTIVITIES VIDEO

DeepaRaya - Sabah Times Press

As an Volunteer,

For the past few month, I could said most of us are extremely tired, due to the tight schedule of events and training that SAGA had organised, but what make us so committed to serve since we are not been paid a single cent or goodies to be bring home let me share my own experience with you. I join SAGA with special intention just to secure some SALES from the rest of the fellow volunteers and further more I don’t know what is HIV/AIDS really mean, anyway who cares.

After a few months later, I received a call from our President Dr. Zaiton she was mentioned to me there is a “Resourse Person Training” which organised by Malaysia AIDS Council, and the training fall on weekend so I agreed to go.

It is a turning point for me, when I really started to learn what is the true meaning of HIV/AIDS is, and I learn a-lot of jargon example like SW, TS, PLHIV & MSM, It is fun, if you really learn and serve the way is suppose to be and I enjoyed the fellowship with other fellow volunteers, we can really work together, even we are all from different backgrounds, races, religions and working environment.

I‘m sure if we serve our community with love, care, commitment and serve with pride (Khimat dengan Bangga) we will live to see the result as expected, I also take these opportunity to expressed my sincere appreciation to Dr. Zaiton who have encouraged and support me through my service in SAGA.

Today I serve as an Exco member and Head of I. T. and Multimedia unit with-in Sandakan AIDS Support Group Association, proud to be a part of SAGA. So what about you, Are you ready to be part of us ?
